Cobra King Forged TEC Irons
The irons feature a sleek, hollow muscle-back head which produces a low centre of gravity for maximised launch and distance, whilst still providing plenty of forgiveness in a playable head.
Under the hood there are energising foam microspheres which are there to fine-tune acoustics, and help to create the softer, responsive feel that most better players are looking for. These support a thin Pwrshell face which is said to provide increased ball speeds.
The forged face insert has been updated from last year and gives the player a larger sweet zone for a better launch and faster ball speeds despite the compact head shape.
In the toe, an added tungsten weight shifts the centre of gravity towards the hitting zone of the face, which maximises distance and can also help with accuracy, even when strikes are slightly off-centre.
The irons will also feature Cobra's Connect technology, powered by Arccos, in the grips which allow users to keep track of their shots and scores out on the course thanks to the complimentary Arccos Caddie app.
Cobra King Forged TEC ONE Length Irons
If you're looking for a little bit more 'ease of use' with the possibility of gaining more consistency, then the King Forged TEC ONE Length irons could be for you.
As usual, this features all of the irons in the set having the same weight and length as a standard 7 iron, which promotes a simple and repetitive setup and swing for more reliable patterns.
In order to do this properly, weight has been added to the longer irons to compensate for the shorter shaft and to match the correct 7 iron swing weight, whilst the weight is removed from the short irons and wedges because the shaft length is longer.
The lie angles of the ONE Length irons have also been adjusted in order to optimise ball flight throughout the set. The longer irons feature more upright lie angles compared to the short irons and wedges which sit slightly flatter, and Cobra says that this delivers 'more consistent trajectory and ball flights'.
